Learn more about me
I am a scientist at the Global Coastal Ocean division of the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC). My work focuses on high-resolution ocean modeling and ocean dynamics, supporting our division’s modeling activities. I hold a PhD in Astronomy from the University of Florence.
From 2012 to 2022, I worked at the University of Bologna, where I contributed to the development of the SURF platform (Structured and Unstructured Grid Relocatable Ocean Platform for Forecasting). This innovative tool is designed to produce high-resolution oceanic forecasts.
Throughout my career, I have been involved in several national and international projects, including TESSA, MARISA, IMMERSE, and Edito Model Lab. I have participated in various oceanographic campaigns to collect essential oceanographic data and have conducted numerous training sessions as a lecturer, focusing on numerical ocean modeling.
